Functional Skills Level 2
Book your functional skills level 2 maths and English exams with our partner site, Pass Functional Skills. Booking and taking your exam is as easy as:
1. Book Exam – Get the exam guidance then choose your dates when you’re ready.
2. Exam Day – On the day of your exam you will receive an email link from the invigilator about 10 minutes before your start time, simply click this link and the invigilator will talk you through the rest.
3. Invigilation – The exam will be invigilated via webcam. You will need to provide an acceptable form of ID.
4. Results – Results can take a maximum of 16 working days from the day of your exam.
Our examinations are Ofqual regulated which means that are government approved and universally accepted by course providers and employers as a GCSE equivalent.
City & Guilds or Open awards
– Both Exam boards follow the exam same curriculum and have the same format and requirements.

Book your level 2 exam through our partner site, Pass Functional Skills and they will provide learning materials to help you prepare. On the day of the exam, you will be emailed a link by the exam invigilator. You simply open the link and join the exam. We will send you mock papers to help you prepare and get use to the online set up.
We offer Ofqual regulated exams and so all course providers will accept our level 2 qualifications.
The maths exam is 2 hours long consisting of a 30 minutes non-calculator section and a 1 hour 30 minutes calculator section.
Pass Functional Skills has an unrivalled resit support service so if you are unfortunate with your first attempt, we will try our best to ensure you pass the resit. As well as reducing the cost of the level 2 exams, we also provide expert functional skills tutors to help learners prepare for a resit.

The functional skills English level 2 qualification is composed of 3 exams. The reading and writing are sat back to back, with the speaking, listening and communicating taken separately. In total there is 3 hours of examinations.
